We co-create learning opportunities together. Students identify their needs and interests, I identify the curriculum pathways that connect with their passions. Together we work towards meaningful goals and outcomes. Learning becomes engaging, personalized and joyful.

Some students need enrichment. We co-create ways to make the learning experience all about the learner’s curiosity. We remove limitations, create ideal conditions using our imagination. Students are encouraged to reach for the sky!

We use tools for designing your own personalized course. What do you want to learn? We start with a goal. Break it down to actionable parts. Consider personal learning preferences. Create methods and locate materials. Implement. Reflect. Revise.

Ways to Work Together
A personalized learning plan begins with a meaningful long-term goal that reflects the student’s needs, strengths, interests, and educational priorities. From this central goal, we create three targets that are: Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Relevant, and Time-bound —(SMART) to help track progress in manageable and motivating steps. Together, these goals provide structure, accountability, and a clear pathway forward while allowing the learning experience to remain flexible, engaging, and student-centered.
A Learning Consultation is an opportunity for the learner to tell their story — what are their strengths, interests, challenges, goals, and how do they learn best. Together, we explore current needs, identify meaningful educational pathways, and begin developing a personalized plan that supports engagement, confidence, and long-term success.
Khristiane Woods is an educator, curriculum designer, and lifelong learner who believes that meaningful education begins with relationship, curiosity, and trust. With over twenty years of experience working with diverse learners, she specializes in creating personalized learning pathways that honour each student’s strengths, interests, challenges, and goals.
Her work blends Universal Design for Learning (UDL), Montessori and Waldorf-inspired education, creative exploration, and permaculture principles to support whole-person growth. Through Rooted & Rising Learning Consultation, Khristiane partners with students and families to co-create engaging, flexible, and empowering educational experiences that foster confidence, agency, and a love of learning.
Alongside her educational work, Khristiane is also a writer, creative thinker, and guide interested in the connections between learning, nature, human development, and personal transformation.
